About PB Court Report
I've enjoyed sports and staying active for most of my life. As I got older, though, I began looking for something that could still provide the competition and challenge I enjoyed without having to give up the social side of sports.

Founder
I originally started playing after a longtime basketball friend moved back to Indiana and introduced me to the game. It didn't take long before I was hooked.
Pickleball brought back something I had missed: the opportunity to compete, learn, improve and have fun doing it.
But what really stood out was how accessible the game was. Today I can play with:
My adult children
My grandchildren
Friends from church
People I've met while traveling
FEW SPORTS BRING TOGETHER PEOPLE OF DIFFERENT AGES, BACKGROUNDS, AND SKILL LEVELS QUITE LIKE PICKLEBALL.
The idea behind The PB Court Report
The more I played, the more I noticed something else.
I've seen back strains, calf problems, sore knees and other injuries among people who simply wanted to enjoy the game. I've experienced my own bout with tennis elbow.
And I began noticing a pattern in how many recreational players approached pickleball.
Before lifting weights, running or playing many other sports
With pickleball
Because of the perceived simplicity of the game, players don't think about what they're asking of their bodies: constant stopping, starting, lunging, reaching, rotating and changing of direction, sometimes for hours.
That got me asking a simple question:
That question eventually became The PB Court Report.
WHAT WE'RE BUILDING
The PB Court Report isn't about turning recreational players into professional athletes.
It's a community for people who love the game and want to get more from it, whether that means improving their game, becoming more physically prepared to play, learning from other players or simply staying on the court for years to come.
We'll explore fitness, injury prevention, recovery, strategy and skill development, along with the people, stories and community that make pickleball such a great game.
Some of it will come from research. Some will come from qualified professionals. And some will come from players and people throughout the pickleball community who have something worth sharing.
THE GOAL IS SIMPLE:
